 NICOSIA - The rapidly-evolving sector of electronic communications and postal services can help improve the quality of life on the island and contribute to its economic growth, President Demetris Christofias said during the affirmation ceremony of the new Assistant Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal Regulation Petros Galides. 
Christofias also acknowledged the Office’s consistent work for the constant development of the sector, presenting rich work during its eleven-year operation in the harmonization of Cypriot law with European legislation, consumer protection and the and the development of healthy competition in the electronic communications and postal services.
