LARNACA - Cypriot and French aircraft and naval units will take part in a search and rescue exercise Wednesday in the sea area south of Larnaca.
The Ministry of Defence said the drill would take place from 9am until 1pm and will join the French Destroyer Jean Bart, with its helicopter, while the Cypriot side will participate with two National Guard helicopters the Aviation Unit of the Cyprus Police, a naval patrol ship and the Larnaca Civil Defence Medical Rescue Team.
On Tuesday, April 23, a search and rescue exercise will be held with vessels of the Israeli navy.
