Larnaca - Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta) boss Stathis Kittis and two other officials were yesterday remanded for eight days in police custody in connection with the Dromolaxia property fraud investigation.
Speaking before the Larnaca District Court the case investigator said Kittis along with Senior Cyta Marketing Manager Yiannis Souroullas and his brother Cytavision head Gregoris Souroullas face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, bribery, fraud and abuse of authority.
Addressing the media after the hearing, police spokesman Andreas Angelides confirmed that the authorities may soon issue European and International arrest warrant for a fourth suspect.
He is Cyta union boss Orestis Vasiliou who is also wanted in connection with the case and currently believed to be abroad.
“We are evaluating information from Interpol and will launch an arrest warrant if it is deemed necessary.”
The spokesman added that the authorities have no reason to believe the suspect will not return to Cyprus to be questioned by the police of his own free will.
