LARNACA - Giorgos Andreou, 35, of Xylopghagou was remanded for eight days by Larnaca court in coonection with the shooting of taxi driver Pantelis Ropa in Ayia Napa on Tuesday.
Police told the court that he is refusing to cooperate and has denied any part in the killing.
A number of weapons found at his home will undergo ballistic tests.
Ropa, who was playing backgammon on Nissi Avenue, died instantly from two shots to the chest fired by a man in a pickup truck who then drove off. The accused man is related to him through marriage.
