LARNACA – A 27-year-old Romanian man found dead at his home in Xylofagou on Sunday is believed to have been killed by fumes from a gas heater.
The foreign worker was found unconscious by his flatmate at around 5pm. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police confirmed that a gas heater which had been running all was found in the victim’s small bedroom.
Following an on-the-spot autopsy state pathologist Nicolas Charalambous has ruled out foul play. A full autopsy is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at Larnaca General Hospital.
