LIMASSOL - Seventy-one-year-old Ioanna Hasiotou Chrysopoulou was killed Friday when she was hit by a car on a pelican crossing.
The accident occurred at around 11.30am on Makarios Avenue in Limassol, when she was hit by a car driven by a 53-year-old woman. She was taken to Limassolgeneral hospital where she was pronounced dead.
According to the accident officer of Limassol traffic police Emilios Kafas, police are questioning witnesses to see whether the pedestrian crossing light was red or green at the time of the accident.
