Police confirmed on Tuesday that they are on the hunt for a 53-year-old Greek Cypriot man who allegedly raped his teenage daughter in Limassol.
According to Limassol police spokesman Yiannis Soteriades, the 18-year-old victim reported to the authorities that her father drove her to a remote area in Fassouri and sexually assaulted her.
“We are taking this case extremely seriously and are currently trying to locate the suspect in order to arrest him for questioning.”
The teenager had been living with a foster family for several years and only recently moved back in with her father.
“The victim claims she was sexually assaulted on the first night she moved back in with her father,” added Soteriades.
She was examined by a state pathologist who confirmed there were signs of a sexual assault.
