Police are hunting for two armed gunmen after they made off with an estimated €10,000 from a Limassol co-op bank just before 1pm on Monday.
From the getaway vehicle that was spotted at the scene, a green Jeep, the police believe the two men may be the same people behind another recent armed robbery.
The two men on Monday entered the co-op bank reportedly carrying a G3 automatic rifle and pistol. There were two bank employees and two customers in the branch at the time.
The masked men demanded the cash at hand and also attempted to get the bank employees to open up the branch’s ATM machine but eventually made off before this was done.
