LARNACA -- Austrian airliner “NIKI”,  part of the airberlin group,  launched flights from Vienna to Larnaca on Friday, offering two flights a week on Mondays and Fridays with a third weekly service departing every Wednesday to be added on  May 7.
Flights depart from Larnaca at 15.25 and land in the capital of Austria at 17.40. The flight from Vienna International Airport to Larnaca takes off at 10.50 and arrives at 14.45.
The new route offers travelers from Cyprus connections to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Munich and Nuremberg, as well as Milan, Moscow, Zurich and New York, among others, the announcement adds.
Commenting on the launch of NIKI flights, the Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Airports Wes Porter welcomed the airliner to Cyprus, and added that it will provide the public with increased access to a range of destinations.
Hermes Airports welcomed the first guests arriving at Larnaca from Vienna with a water salute.
