LIMASSOL – A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a restaurant owner in Germasoyia was robbed and shot.
According to Limassol CID Chief Yiannis Soteriades, the suspect, who denies all involvement in the crime, is expected to appear in court for a remand hearing on Monday.
A 48-year-old souvlaki restaurant owner and his wife and teenage daughter were targeted in an armed robbery outside their home on Sunday.
The victim was shot in the arm with a sawn off shotgun when he refused to cooperate with the perpetrators.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a second man in connection with the robbery.
