LARNACA – Two people were injured in separate auto accidents on Thursday.
According to the police, an 18-year-old man was driving a high-powered motorcycle along Phaneromeni Avenue at 12.30pm when he collided with an oncoming saloon vehicle. The teenager was rushed to Larnaca General Hospital with severe head injuries and later transferred to Nicosia. Officers at the crash site confirmed that he was not wearing a helmet. His condition is described as serious. A second man suffered injuries after his car overturned on a road in the Kalo Chorio area. Police said the victim lost control of his vehicle before it careened off the road and flipped. He is being treated in Larnaca General Hospital.
