Employees at Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) have announced a three-hour strike on Monday outside the House, during the meeting of the House Finance Committee where the draft bill on privatisations will be discussed.
All EAC offices will remain closed on Monday, but unions have assured that there will be no power cuts and emergency and repairs staff will be on duty to serve the public.
Protestors are demanding the exclusion of EAC from the privatisation draft bill and are warning that more dynamic measures will follow from Tuesday in case their demands are not met.
