NICOSIA – Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CyTA) staff decided on Monday to go on a three-day strike in protest against plans by the government to privatize the semi-governmental organization.
The strike is due to begin at midnight on Monday and end late on Thursday, leaders of the Authority’s five unions have said.
All customer-service branches will be closed and only key services will be in operation these three days.
Telecommunication and internet services will not be affected.
