 The Ports Authority Wednesday announced their staff were taking part in strike action in protest against the government’s privatisation plans, joining Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta) and Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) employees in their work stoppages.
The EAC action includes rolling power cuts that began early Wednesday but were exepected to be over by 3pm.
Members of the semi-government organisations’ also continued protests with Cyta employees marching to  the Presidential Palace.
The Plenum is Thursday set to vote on the legislation opening the way to the selling-off semi-government organisations to raise funds in line with its bailout agreement with the Trioka.
