NICOSIA - There was still no sign after Wednesday’s cabinet meeting that President Anastasiades has decided on reshuffling his government ministers after Diko left the coalition last month.
Energy Minister George Lakkoptrypis made no comment after the cabinet session ended on Wednesday saying it was up to the president to decide.
Meanwhile, former fellow Diko ministers, Petros Petrides (health), Kyriacos Kenevezos (education) and Fotis Fotiou (defence) did stay behind to discuss the issue with Anastasiades.
Disy has pressured Anastasiades to let the three go but keep Lakkotrypis who has left Diko.
The four Diko men disagree with the party pulling out of government over the Cyprus problem and have either left, retired or suspended their participation as members of the centre-right party.
The President had said he would not name his new cabinet before March 15 but that was before the split within the Diko ranks.
