Cyprus Autism Association is organising an event to mark World Autism Awareness Day on Wednesday, April 2 at Limassol town hall.
During the event entitled 'Light it up blue' there will be a march starting at the association's intervention centre at 15 Distomou Street, Limassol at 6.30pm and will end at the town hall.
Marchers will be escorted by the Cyprus motorcycle friends club and a team from the Cyprus drivers' body.
At around 8.30pm there will be speeches by Limassol Mayor Andreas Christou and a representative from the Autism Association, while the building will be illuminated in blue.
Other landmark buildings around the island including all town halls, mediaeval castles, universities and banks among others will be lit up in blue.
The Cyprus Autism Association invites the public to join the event to support children and adults with autism.
The event will be held under the auspices of First Lady Andri Anastasiades.
