LARNACA - An Albanian wanted in Greece on suspicion of manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, theft and possession of a firearm was arrested on Tuesday at a farmhouse on the Frenaros-Vryssoules area in the free Famagusta area.
Hasan Eshiani Astrid, 30, was arrested on a European warrant sent by Greeceā€™s Justice Ministry.
Police who searched the farmhouse found a revolver, a bag of gold jewellery and 12 cannabis plants.
Police spokesman Andreas Angelides said the suspect will appear before Famagusta District Court in Paralimni to be remanded in custody. At the same time, the immigration department will investigate how he came to be in Cyprus. When procedures are completed he will be deported to Greece, accompanied by Greek police officers.
