LARNACA - Two men accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls aged 14 and 15 were re-remanded before the Larnaca District Court on Wednesday for a six days in police custody.
The hearing for the suspects – a 35-year-old man from Nicosia and 57-year-old well known Larnaca businessman took place behind closed doors.
They were arrested late last month after the 15-year-old reported to police that she met the younger man at his flat in the capital having previously chatted with him on a social networking site.
She claims that along with a 14-year-old girl she was held against her will, beaten and raped. She said both girls were then driven to a flat in Larnaca where they were subjected to a second assault which the 59-year-old also took part in.
