The Nicosia Tourism Board is now offering free guided tours at the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia in an effort to increase tourist interest in the capital. Free guided tours in English will be available to visitors every Tuesday and Friday between 10am and 11.15am and between 11.45am and 1pm.
Visitors will only have to pay the entrance ticket to the museum which costs €4.50.
The free tours have already begun and they will continue to be offered until the end of July. After that tours will start up again in September and will be available until November.
The tours are supported by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO), the Cyprus Tourist Guides Association and the Department of Antiquities.
