 NICOSIA --- Cyprus’ trade deficit fell to €4.32 billion euro between January and December 2012, compared to €4.90 billion in the corresponding period of 2011. Cyprus’ imports in 2012 stood at 5.75 billion euro, while exports were at 1.43 billion, a preliminary estimate published by the Cyprus Statistical Service shows.
Total imports / arrivals reached €425.8 million in December, of which €317.7 million were arrivals from other EU member states, and €108.1 million imports from third countries.
Total exports/dispatches reached €104.8 million of which €57.0 million were dispatches to other member states of the EU and €47.8 concerned exports to third countries.
