LIMASSOL – A stray dog which was rescued after falling in a dam on Tuesday is recovering in the care of an animal rights organisation.
According to fire services spokesperson Liza Kemidji, the authorities were alerted in the afternoon after passersby saw the panicked canine slide down the bank of Trimiklinis dam and fall into the water.
Fire services officers rushed to the scene and pulled out the dog from the water before delivering it to a veterinarian clinic. The dog, which luckily wasn’t injured during the fall, has been handed over to Animal Party Cyprus.
