He stressed..."/> Memorandum call
30 April 2013 08:56

NICOSIA The Finance Minister Haris Georgiades urged the House Monday to take "a very difficult but necessary decision" and ratify the loan agreement and the Memorandum.
He stressed that things would be "very difficult", but without the programme that Cyprus would be driven to full economic collapse, and the consequences of leaving the euro zone would be "dramatic."
Speaking at a joint meeting of the Finance Committee and the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Minister said that Cyprus would have liked more than €10b, which is the amount of loan as this would create a more manageable situation today, however, it would create more debt for future generations.
