NICOSIA - New APOEL chairman Prodromos Petrides has called on fans and officials to put their differences to one side and focus on uniting again for the good of the club.
Speaking during Wednesday’s general assembly in which former chairman Fivos Erotokritou officially stepped down to make one for Prodromou and his board, the new chairman said he considered his second tenure at the club to be an even bigger challenge.
“I consider this to be a massive obligation and I want to thank the outgoing board and more, specifically, former chairman Fivos Erotokritou whose name will always be remembered for the great success of the club. The conditions are difficult both on the pitch and off because of the financial situation. I call on everyone to join together for the sake of APOEL. A united APOEL will never be defeated and this is the message that I want to put across to everybody.”
